A little late, but this is my kind of october recap! I waited a little bit as I really wanted to include the pictures from the bonfire night! More on that later.
Pumpking Picking

I chose this beautiful looking pumpkin on a pumpkin field which was very surprising. They had a lot more but this was the best one since most of the stems had rotted away. They should pay me to carve pumpkins because I made a very scary looking fella out of this pumpkin. The cat was half asleep and watching me while I was carving it (cameo appearance here). We also got a smaller one with bumps on its skin, they taste much better and I used it to make an awesome pumpkin soup.

New Dog
Just this week, my host family decided to adopt a new dog to the family. He is a miniature version dachshund, a very cute one too. He is called Floky, Lennon chose the name. Our main concern was that he wouldn’t be accepted by Rex, but they seem to be very friendly with each other. The only thing Floky has been doing so far is poop in the kitchen. This isn’t very nice of him I have to say. I’m also teaching him to give paw, and it has worked a little bit so far. He is only 11 weeks old, so it will probably take some more time.

Alton Towers
Alton Towers is Englands biggest theme park and full of rollercoasters. I would compare it to a toned down Disneyland or closer – Europapark, the only other theme park I have been to. The rollercoasters were incredible, the only downsides are the long queues. For one ride, we waited over 2 hours! 1 1/2 hours of waiting plus another half an hour when the ride broke down (or “maintanance” as they called it). Though I was very surprised by the prices, since Europapark was much more expensive. If you come here, don’t ever ride the “Nemesis”. It steals your lifetime and gives nothing in return – really bad rollercoaster. The best one was the “Smiler”, the longest queue on the “Galactic”. They also had expensive hot dogs and a halloween themed decorations (the live actors were the coolest part).

Bonfire night
Let me tell you a story – the story of a mental guy (pun intended) who wants to explode the House of Lords in 1605. The whole thing doesn’t work out and he gets burned alive. And thats why the English make a big fire every year and fireworks and all that. We went to an event like that in Middlewich. The fire was pretty big but luckily I was protected by this fire extinguisher! So it was all under control.

That was it already. I also installed a new feature on the website. If you want to receive an E-Mail when I post, head to my homepage and input your E-Mail into the thingy at the bottom of the site. Thank you for reading!
